Beep Test

Today, we did our final beep test of the year for fitness. When I started the beep test, I felt pretty nervous, because I wasn't sure if I could beat my last beep test score (8.2). Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get past the beep test mark prior to the one I got today. In all honesty, I think I could have reached a higher level if I had eaten. So I was slightly disappointed that I only got up to 8.3, however, there's always next year! Although my beep test mark improved slightly, everything else that I did improved by a significant amount.

Before:

Body Press (w/o stopping): 7
Body Bridge: 1:05
T-Test: 14 seconds
Sit & Reach (level): 1
Board (touches/30 secs): 15

Today:

Body Press (w/o stopping): 10
Body Bridge: 1:14
T-Test: 12.2 seconds
Sit & Reach (level): 2
Board (touches/30 secs): 11

  1. Good comparisons and digital evidence. It must feel good to see improvements in your fitness as the year progresses. Your score on the beep test depends on lots of things, and if you didn't have lunch, you wouldn' t have the energy to do very well - food is fuel for your body and brain!
